Iran President Pezeshkian told the Bishkek summit that after roughly three months of talks mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, Washington and Tehran signed an Islamabad memorandum on June 28. He said the US broke its commitments less than two weeks after the US president signed, calling the conduct greedy and untrustworthy, and that Iran responded accordingly. Pezeshkian said Iran would take immediate reciprocal action if the US resumed its commitments and reiterated Tehran’s record of complying with international obligations.

Bernstein says Meituan’s Q2 results beat expectations: the group returned to profitability after food-delivery competition and new-business losses were smaller than expected. Bernstein remains cautious — Meituan did not match ByteDance-style dine-in subsidies in Q2 and ceded some share, then began chasing share again in Q3. Macroeconomic and competitive pressure constrain revenue growth, and increasing overlap between food delivery, e-commerce and instant retail could bring recurring cycles of competition. Bernstein maintains a market-perform rating and HK$85 target, unchanged since a downgrade in June last year.
